What was formerly a broadly based rant blog has now largely degenerated into P-Dunk talking about music, but just read it anyway.

Hey, I'm P-Dunk

Bio 2.0

I last wrote/updated this page last year. I have since changed. I'm saving version 1.0 in my computer so that when I'm old and gray I can look back, read it, and think, "what a despicable sophomore I was". But now, I present the current status of who the hell PDunk is. Not that I'm not keeping part of it, because I'm freaking lazy and some of this remains accurate as I come to re-write it.

I am now 16. I'm impatient, absurdly messy, have un-tamable hair, and I'm the worst driver you will ever meet, provided you ever meet me. Also, I have larped before in my lifetime. I take only a mild amount of shame in that.

As you apparently read my blog, two things should be evident right off the bat; one, that I hate Steve Pavlina. One day I happened upon his stupid website and now sometimes I go back there if I want to be really angry all day (it happens sometimes) and then usually, I am prompted to blog about some particular aspect of his stupidity.

The other thing is that I'm a music freak. Chiefly, punk. I've got violin skills, I'm an adequate guitarist, I play ukulele for funsies, I sing myself to a swollen throat all the time, and I play bass like a motherfucking boss. I only say this because I have been told this (not verbatim, but whatever). I listen to good shit, namely The Offspring, Rise Against, Anti-Flag, Dead Kennedys, System of a Down, Pennywise, Bad Religion, the list goes on. I play in two bands, officially, possibly three; one of them, Hang, plays shows all the time; another, Struck Red, is recording a demo, and it's not punk, but the recording experience is absolutely fabulous and the frontwoman is a freaking genius songwriter. And then this last one, which is as of yet only known as the Anti-Hippie band, fucks around and plays covers. I have all sorts of statements I could make about the disrespect I have for major record labels, but I won't go there right now. I love concerts, as anyone should. I pride myself on having pushed straight from the back of the crowd to the front row at a Lamb of God concert, being among the youngest, weakest people there (and one of very few females). Also, for punching out people at other metal shows who try to grab my ass. Oh, and I volunteer at the Vera project in Seattle, doing lighting and sound stuff. It's freaking amazing. I've met so many great musicians there and learned so much about the industry.

I hate a lot of things. More than anything, I hate posers of any sort. Also, sellouts. Armstrong, I'm looking at you.

Let's go movies now. The ONLY comedy movie I don't absolutely hate is Wayne's World (as well as it's sequel), which is probably in my top ten. I completely despise all other comedy, I've never watched a romance movie I haven't wanted to puke on, and don't even get me started on damn romantic comedy. I like a lot of older science fiction movies, not the newer stuff, excluding a FEW of the comic-based ones (I know more about comic books from wikis than I do from actually reading them, but I love them). Pretty much I'm just a major Star Wars fan, and then I really like X-Men, Jurassic Park, Bladerunner, all that stuff.

I like physics. A lot. I enjoy math to a certain degree, and if my chemistry teacher weren't a psycho, I'd probably be completely infatuated with the subject. I hate literature and social sciences. In fact, I find anything in the humanities to be silly and useless. I've got friends who surely disagree; I respect their decisions to go for liberal arts colleges and psych majors and whatnot. I would just shoot myself if I had to follow in their footsteps.

I travel a lot. You don't want to read this list, but I'm going to put it out there anyway. In 2005 I went to Rome, Anzio, Florence, Venice, Lucca, Pisa, and Collodi. In 2007 I went to Budapest, Prague, Vienna, Berlin, and Rome and Lucca again for family obligations; also Las Vegas. In 2009 I went to Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, London, and then Rome and Lucca. In 2011 I went to New York and DC, and then Victoria. In 2012 I went to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Conwy (which was the most fabulous place ever, next to Scotland at least), Bath, London, Rome and Milan. I would like to deviate from Europe, but hell, Europe is cool.

That said, I love everything and anything Scottish. I will learn pipes someday, I swear to you. I do highland dance and I'm dang good at it. I love every part of it besides the having-to-wear-a-bun part.

I'm more of a conspiracy theorist that I should be. I hate government, sort of. If a closed-minded adult,  asks me what my political viewpoint is, I say that I'm libertarian; if anyone else asks me, I'm a free-market anarchist.

Finally, I have the cutest puppy in the world.
